I've had my horse on loan for 7 months now and I can honestly say that she really has done my confidence the world of good.
On Friday I ventured out on my own (a scary thing for me!) for a lovely hack in the sunshine. all was good, had to get off and do a gate and then she wouldn't stand still for me to remount. All a bit of a palava but I COPED! I don't even feel scared about getting back on her!
She really (apart from that) hasn't put a foot wrong and I'm starting to get some nice results when we school too, not to mention the jumping we've started!
Her real mum has been fantastic, we keep in touch and she gives me good advice about her, which I value.
Loaning really can work - I'm so happy
