some of you know the problems ive been having with my mare and loss of confidence, not being able to sell her etc etc.
well on friday my mum came to me with a proposition. She used to be a dealer and dealt with problem horses as well as showjumping. Now she is on 6 weeks holiday - works in a school - and knows shes going to get bored.
she is going to school Indy for me over the next 6 weeks - (which saves me nearly £60 a week) and get her going out and about and possibly popping over a few fences. The idea is that at the end of it she will be easier to sell as have done and seen more. The first £1500 will be mine and anything over that will be split 50/50.
Well we started yesterday. She got on Indy - the first horse shes been on in 15 years!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Indy had a few pops (the same that got me and my old trainer off) my mum just sat there holding the reins with one hand and laughing her head off!!!!! She did come off once in the school but that was because Indy shot to one side and my mum came off the other - landed on her feet still holding the reins.
Today we went up, she got on her again and she was really good, so good in fact that we decided to walk her up the road, around the cars, caravans etc and she was an angel.
One of the problems that my mum picked up is that Indy REALLY falls in on her left shoulder and is completley crooked when walking - has anyone got any schooling tips that can help sort this? Thanks
Have just read this back through and realised it is REALLY long!!
sorry for that but just had to get it out LOL - choccie biscuits for those that get this far.
