My mare developed lots of wax within hours yesterday and seemed really unsettled all day, she was checked at again throughout the day and night and was looking at her belly a bit but did not seem to be uncomfortable. I had to go to work at 6.30am for a few hours and went back to check her, she is grazing quietly in the field. Her udder has filled and her teats have begun to fill also, she is actually due today (so proberly wont foal lol).
So my waiting is almost over I hope, and after all my planning over the last 11 months I actually forgot my flask sods law.

ooo Good luck - have my fingers crossed for you - don't forget your camera too - when my mare had a false alarm the other night it wasn't until about 2 a.m. that I realised I didn't have my camera at the yard !! - hope you get a baby by morning x

Still no foals both have gone very quiet have milk and wax, back on watch tonight with other owner. What I have found amazing is the night time wild life I have seen since starting foal watch, wish I had a night time camera I could make a documentary from them hehe

How exciting - you have probably said but can you tell us what you are expecting - dam and sire? Keep us posted. Good luck.

Good morning back from last night foal watch and still nothing, however there was a lot of back stretching and if her bits get any bigger I am sure a bag of carrots would fit in .
For the poster who asked what I am expecting the dam is an skewbald irish gypsy cob and sire is WBxAppy Rainbow Jack from rainbow stud, he is a lovely appiano blue and white with black spots on the blue.

Still no foal the mare does not seem bothered much yet , the reason why I am on foal watch is because all the physical signs of foaling are close, she has wax, milk, vulva changes she is a few days late now, the only thing that is missing is the contractions lol.

Snoopy is grazing quietly and is not in any discomfort that I can see, but I really want to be around when the foal is born just incase she needs help, so another night on foal watch.
