I'd just like some thoughts on what /could/ be a tricky situation. I say could, it might not happen but thought I'd better get my head around it just in case.
Basically I share a yard (three stables and large field sectioned into bits). I have one mare and she has two geldings, they are in different 'sections' but are next to each other and can touch (only seperate as my mare has a tendancy to kick out and is shod behind, totally irrelevant to the problem but trying to give you an idea of what we have).
They are all out 24/7 at present since mine decided being in on her own (still within sight of others but obviously not close enough) is too stressful. She used to be fine with it, actually she used to like being stabled overnight until bonfire night so I keep her out now too (well rugged as shes a bit of a pansy).
Tonight I saw an ad on preloved for the other lady looking for grazing/livery for her geldings. She did say a while back she'd like to move somewhere with better hacking but I didn't really think much of it because our little yard is lovely and the hacking isn't really that terrible, horses are both fit enough to get to a couple of nice 'canter spots'.
I'm just very worried about how my mare is going to react if her friends leave. I can't comfortably afford another pony (time or money) and YO is elderly and I'm not willing to burden her with the problem of finding another livery 'just in case'.
I'm probably worrying about nothing

You may be able to find someone looking for a field for their pony.

I would speak to the lady that shares your field and ask her. Then you may be able to manage the timing of the move with her.

My main problem with finding someone else is that its more of an 'if' than 'when'. I'd hate to find someone only for them to be let down and have to be turned away as there is definatley not room for 4 if other lady doesn't find anywhere else.
Like I said I'm probably making way more of it than it really is, think I'm just shocked that she put the ad up without saying anything.
