As above, I might have found some cheap round bale hay, want to put it in feild for foals but worried they will trash/poop on it & that it will go mouldy.

Don't fancy using a metal feeder, not sure it would be safe for foals, and pretty certain have heard of some sort of 'hat' that can go on top?!

Alphabet letter sweets to all :)

Not dreaming, friend of mine makes them, have messaged her to either come on to forum or give me her contact details so that I can pass them over to you.

Thanks Carolinej & sisco, I thought it was something like a plastic lid, but as mentioned, I could have dreamed it and both suggestions seem like they might work :D

Like the fact that bot don't seem to have anything foalfaces could get hurt on, just not sure how to fit them?!

I have a bale tidy and found it a nightmare. the 'lid' part of it kept blowing off even when tied down. Getting hay out was such a palava, time saving not! I have gone back to using tarp and tent pegs, much less hassle and more secure in the wind.

We have one on our hay. No IDE what they are called though stops.it blowing about and getting wet. Has a draw string on the bottom to hold it on.
