Well scary for me anyway but I couldn't be more proud of my girl. I got my ex racer in march and let's just say she's not the best to hack alone! I've only previously tried to hack completely alone once which wasn't great, she just went into complete panic mode so I had to dismount and lead her home for her to chill out, needless to say I haven't tried again since partly due to nerves and I knew I had to go back to basics with her to build her confidence.
Ever since I've been taking her out for in hand hacks where she has become more and more comfortable leaving the yard. So today in the pouring rain I thought it would be the perfect time to try hacking alone again
I really don't like to do things the easy way! Haha. So all wrapped and hi vised up I took her out in hand, once she was chilled I hopped on and rode her all the way home!! She was foot perfect, forward going, responsive but confident and the best she's ever felt, even good with the traffic which she can be a little twitchy with. Couldn't be prouder of her and just need to build up the time I spend on her rather than leading her!
Sorry for the self indulgent post, but very happy as its a big deal for us!
