Its the final bridleways association dressage tonight. I have been volunteered to do P17 and NOVICE 39 Agghhhh I mean, give and retake the reins in canter - on my horse!!!!!!!!!! The test includes halt to trot, trot to halt, medium trot and canter, 10mtr circles

What have I let myself in for???? I have never ridden a test in a long arena, and its on grass - there really is no hope! Friend is coming to video, will post it later for anyone that wants a giggle

And I even have to pay to put myself through this embarassment!!!

Thank you! We are having issues relaxing at the moment, she's just a lil fizz bomb!

Piccies are Barton, Church Farm, Warren Farm and yes, Myerscough!

Ok, deep breath... and smile! Best advice I have for you is to try and stay relaxed!

Looking forward to seeing your video later on... What bridleways association are you involved with? I am thinking of becoming a member of the Bolton one because they have just created a fantastic gallops and are hoping to continue expanding. It is something I will start using when Hannah is back in work properly next year so interested in getting involved.

Its the Ulnes Walton Bridleway, based in Leyland. I will definitely be relaxed, she can be such a fiesty monkey I just have to laugh at her. That last test we did at skipton, she did 6 flying changes on one leg and bounced me out of the saddle!!!

There must be some website that has details of your area. I joined one for over wyre as well, sometimes go and do their pleasure rides.

35 mins of work to go........................ really dragging now!

Long arenas are really nice to ride in but down the long side will feel like an enternity the first time you do it

Best of luck

I'm sure you will have fun (K got 44% for her last test; I don't think dressage is in the genes! But she hacked past a hedge cutter - twice - and a motorbike today so she's a star in my book!) At least the judges will get to see how fast a horse can go in give and retake the reins! Hope you have a fun evening.

Forgot to ask, how did you do at Church Farm last night?

We went to Valients on Tuesday night instead, thought it would be easier rather than going out wed and thu! Anyway, she needed re-assurance at first, she's normally point and pop! Then as soon as we did the novice JO she was back to normal!! Got all the way round to the last fence in the open and she would not listen and was just going for the fence I was trying to turn in front of, even brought her back to trot! So had to do a circle! Went in again HC and we did a lovely round, so hopefully back on track!

its the Myerscough RC show on Sunday, in the indoor too! Am in the points for 3 classes! Church Farm is on Saturday, but after going out twice already this week, really can't afford to do both Sat and Sunday!

Let me know if you are passing!

Will do...

I had a cry last night (a drunken one though) because I saw someone's name in H&H who Han used to be placed above in Nov and Elem. She was competing at Croft Top and I realised how much I miss competing!
