End of week one, in Eds (the new 3yr old) education.
He started last saturday with me thinking ohh boy this is going to be fun.
Nothing will ever be rushed with him however, he now lunges in his roller and bridle walk trot and very tiny bit of canter. No longer screaming for everyones attention and you can even lean on him he just stands rock solid!
Taf was perfect as a 3yr old and i really thought i would not be getting another like him, but fingers crossed i think i may have.
He will be under saddle (lunge, long reigning) next week and then it will be under saddle with rider. All seems a little quick but he just seems to have the right attitude.
How long does it generally take without rushing to back a 3yr old, well any age really?
Cant believe we are actually thinking he may be ready to compete sooner than initially planned, and may even be out for the BSPS winter champs as an intermediate - hes just not got the body for a small hunter just yet but thats where he is heading!
I feel so lucky, being so novice to the horsey world yet having been blessed with the Taffster and now the Edmeister
