I need a feed (again)

okay so i changed horse onto Allen & Paige - Ride & Relax she has her chaff with it - she's fed just over the minimum on bag for her weight (500kg ish) which is on scoop feed, 1 scoop water and 1 scoop chaff.. She was fine and she gets it every night (morning she gets pony nuts and chaff) but she's suddenly taken a dislike.. it very much lumpy porridge consistency and must be quite hard to eat have added about 1 1/2 more scoops of water but it does not soak up anymore just leaves a slush at the bottom.. This can not be fed dry I'm assuming as it's horridly dry when not soaked so i need a feed with same properties as this and maybe something i don't have to soak? She's def a lot calmer though!

I think this is like calm and condition and fast fibre?

I find leaving it soaked for longer is better and easier for them to eat.

Read the bag - if I rem correctly, you mustn't feed it dry cos it's got sugar beet in it. I *think* this is what was in calm & cond, which is similar.

I've just started the Rowan Barbary mash - it's a soaked feed & so far seems v palatable.

Any reason she can't get the same feed in evening as she gets in morning (ie pony nuts).

it says on the allen and page website that you dont have to soak ride and relax, just 'dampen well'

I fed my mare Ride and Relax and I just dampen it. I would add a bit of water to any feed to be honest.

Soak the feed over night and add some chaff befor you give her the feed to soak up any moisture, also put a splash of corn oil in, that is fab for condition and shiney coat xxx
