A lady has asked me to keep her horse for a couple of months while her other horse is off for remedial schooling.....(i think)

He is 15.3 and she wants him stabled and turned out etc....She wants to me totally look after him so muck out, t/o, birng in, feed, hay and ride once or so a week (he is about 20ish so not much riding involved)

How much do you think i should charge her? I have no idea, i work at a part.full livery yard with very high standards and keep mine up to this...fields poo picked every day, mucked out immacuatly!

ANy ideas?

I weould say more than a tenner a day. Lifeslemons/Tomo_woo justs feeds and hays a horse in a field, and mucks out a fiend shelter and gets that, I would say more like £15 a day

depends how much it will cost you to keep it - feed and bedding are very expensive at the mo so at the very least it will cost you £10. therefore you may be safer asking £15 a day.
I sent my horse to an eventer last year for a month so i could concentrate on the pony, and he was £18 a day.

As Ellie says, I charge a tenner per time (so £20 a day) I go and check on three broadmares, and feed/hay them, as well as giving the field shelter a quick skip out. It now takes me just seven minutes to do, on a good day, (and its right next to my yard anyway,) but the fact is that one day one of those horses will be kicked, and I will end up spending four hours waiting for a vet with a very poorly horse!
