Can anyone give any advice on a new girth please? I need one with either no elastic or one with elastic running through it, not one with elastic ends.

I have always had the Wintec Chafeless girths which have elastic running through them and love them

Why are you looking for one with no elastic - not being picky, geniune question!
Stubben now do a "comfort" girth which is not disimiliar to the old fashioned string girths but don't be put off my description as they are a lot nicer than the old types. A friend was recommended to get one as her overly sensitive horse can't seem to bear any type of girth!

I can't have one with elastic at the ends as my saddler says my current one with elastic at one end is twisting my saddle 
and if I have elastic at both ends it makes my saddle slip back. My saddler has been out to check fit of the saddle which is perfect, but it is the strange shape of my mare that makes the saddle slip back and elastic at the end is too stretchy and doesn't hold the saddle still iyswim.
Will look into the Stubben one although have to admit it sounds wierd and also wintec chaffless.
