Apologies admin if this post is not allowed....

I'm looking for a dog whippet puppy, and I know there are lots of pointy nose skinny dog enthusiasts in here, so thought I'd ask if anyone knows of any litters (current or due) and could point me in the right direction.

This is a pet dog, so I'm not fussed on show quality or speed, however I am very particular about breeding healthy dogs, so although it doesn't have to be KC registered, I do want proof of parentage to at least 3 generations along with parents heart/ eye tests.

I've spoken to a few show breeders, but unfortunately either no dogs (only bitches), or no litters. I don't know the race scene very well, so don't know who to approach about their available litters.

I'd ideally like a smaller whippet, so one with race breeding would be nice.

Any contacts would be much appreciated. Willing to travel 100ish miles radius Wiltshire/ Gloucestershire. PM me if you know of anything. Thank you

There were some advertised on the Gloucestershire horse riders page - blue and white - a dog and a bItch puppy? Not sure about health testing of parents though! Try contacting JR whippet rescue or Evesham Greyhound and Lurcher. Rescue - the latter often have whippet pups in

Google Selinko whippets. May be too far for you, Cambridge.
Two boys available 5weeks at the moment. I have known the breeders for years.

Thank you - they look fab, unfortunately I think Cambridge is a bit too far and it's an ar5e to get to from here as all wiggly cross country routes.

We lost our whippet boy in January and his pal is very quiet. So we started to look for a puppy or run on show whippet but then lockdown happened. So planning for the future, does anyone know a decent breeder planning a litter anytime soonish, restrictions permitting.

We are conscious of socialisation issues but tbh, our current life isn't much different to our pre-lockdown one as we're not go-outters!

I can't help as both of mine are unknown parentage, we got one exactly how you shouldn't get puppies and I'm not into show lines. I would suggest contacting your local racing club though as they may know about planned litters.

I am keeping my eye to the ground for sports litters so will message you if I hear anything but the only ones I know about are lurchers all be it small ones.

The clubs are keeping quiet about litters at the moment as there's been an upsurge in interest due to people being at home and they don't want to encourage inessential travel, same with hens...

After a calm dog really, as my other 2 (terrier and whippet) are very lively and the calm whippet was helpful. I think there's a breeder along the coast from me that has sporting interests.
