Have used and can recommend Carl Duggan, Chris Keates, the Viewegs (sp?) ......depends on yard and horse as to which I've used in the past.

I can highly recommend Westrow Equine Dental - I use Simon Vieweg. He is absolutely fantastic. 01825 732728. My friend uses him near Haywards Heath and I use him here in Kent.

I've used Steve Neighbour for around 12 years now. He now lives in Angmering so definitely in your area.

If they need a "wee jab" to keep them calm then Cinder Hill Vets are brill. Mike is the vet you want very good and you only then have to pay one call out charge.

thanks everyone! can i use my local vet then for dentistry or does it need to be a dentist as a sole operator? he had his teeth done last year whilst out on loan but i just want his back ones checked out, looking a wee bit brown - normal? do you normally get them checked annually, some people have said not usually?

Chris Warren 01273 834578, 07860 405262 - he is very good - does lots of top jumpers and eventers too. Used to use Nat Heal too when I was in Kent and he was good too.

Would get teeth done at least every 12 months but sometimes dentist will recommend 6 months if mouth is a funny shape. Would not use a vet unless they also had additional and specific dentistry training - you wouldn't get a doctor to do your teeth would you? Apparently vets spend about a day on teeth in all their training (not sure if this is true but is what I have been told)
