Girlys,
you know how it is doing the same thing over and over e.g. schooling, hacking same old same old and it becomes boring for horse and rider. Any one got some fun ideas that me and my neddy could do. I have loads of facilitys school, xc course and hacking all around. But even though i looking for ideas she still needs to be worked bacause she is extemley excitable also i am still competing through out winter.? any ideas to make it fun for me and guinness.
All ideas much appreciated xxx

lots of galloping across county and jumping with other horses... not as safe as schooling but its bloody good fun!and hundereds of horses hunt twice a week all season with no problems

i would also say hunting, go with a sensible friend your first couple of times, and enjoy yourself.
its as safe as you make it i think. you can be up at the front going hell for leather across what ever's in the way, or near the back picking and choosing what you jump.

wear plenty warm undies tho!

How about joining your local saddle/riding club?
I am in the same position at the moment as you really, and also i want my horse to get used to others and lots of other things.
I am in the process of finding out about one local to me at the moment.
So thats another idea for you?

hunting ...? is it safe because i dnt want her to get injured...?

Well my horse has had the vet out 6 times in 2 years for injuries (not including repeat visits and trips to the vet for fractured pedal bone) and I still took him hunting!!!

Your horse could get injured out in the field (like mine), out on a hack (like mine) or even in the menage (not like mine yet *touch wood*). If you want fun then I recommend hunting

Also recommend joining local riding club - get to compete dressage, SJ, xc, sometimes do training and make new friends. You also get to compete as a team so it makes it more fun too
