Little Lady is getting out and about and doing really rather well with her young owner :D :D :D

I've been giving a hand plaiting up, but to say I'm not brill is quite possibly an understatement :( :o:rolleyes::eek::confused:

So, what I need is a quick idiots guide (preferably with pictures!) :D Any one got one???

aint got pics or know how to post them yet but will try over weekend.
a well pulled mane is always better to platt its really difficult if its been done with solo comb etc.
first off get yourself some nice sticky moose or hairspray, then section it all with bands before u start , nothing worse than nearly finished and u have to much/to little hair left.
i put 9 platts along mane even if they are a bit big they look better than lots of little uns and take less time.

make sure your sections r even ,i either pull a tooth out the comb or wrap a band round to measure how big i want my sections.
then platt as tight as u can using plenty of sticky stuff then wrap band round end.
when u get hold of a bit to platt try to get your 3 pieses of hair the same thickness or they will be wonky.

i usually do this the night before ,then cos im picky i redo it in morning but because of sticky stuff you already have your sections ready.

then i use thread cos it looks better.

tie a knot in end of tread and go through the elastic band (it will hold thread in) then holding the very end of platt wrap thread round end then loop back through its self so it catches any loose ends.

then push neadle through the platt close to the roots.
you will now have a doubled over platt now either fold it over again or roll it up tight as u can.

then pass neadle back and forward through whole of plat untill its secure.
you can wrap thread round it if u have any loose ends than pass back through to secure.

if u can pass it back through the elastic band it will keep a tight hold of thread.

if your going to use thread get one of those stitch unpicker thingys from a sewing shop they are great for getting the platts out.

hope this helps :d

If i can do it then you can ahaha :)

Easiest way:

To separate the whole mane into sections with elastic bands, thick plaits if they have a long neck or smaller ones and more if they have a short neck!!

Plait all and put elastic bands on the ends to tie them

When thats done,

sew them: sew doing like a figure of eight so you will come up into the plait then sew to the right come back into the middle, sew to the left come back up into the plait then go back round again, this is just to secure the end of the plait,

then roll the plait up and take the needle through the bottom of the tied plait, just dont poke them with the needle ;) then again repeat the figure of eight and tie on the 2 time round to the left, this is then the plait tied :) its a lot easier then it sounds

Give it a try practice makes perfect :)
