I would be much more interested in the quality of the home than the price. Kissing spine can be genetic so would check why she is suffering from it and also make sure new potential owner understands her medical condition as it is possible the back will continue to deteriorate and you may have behavioural problems. Sorry to sound so cautious but my ned had KS op last year and it would take a lot for me to feel a new home would be safe and understanding if he had any issues. If this guy is only interested in a cheap buy i would worry about the life she will have and thoroughly check him out. Is the op an option for her - just wondering if someone prepared to put her through the op and re-hab would be a better home?

yeah i understand what your saying she definetley needs to go to the right home as she could be a nightmare if she didnt go in the right hands erm she has had the injections in her spine and is responding really well to the treatment, he did say that if he did take her that he could carry on the treatment, she is having more examinations in a few weeks with physio and that so we will see ...

I have had such a positive experience with my ned that I would just say don't rush in to a decision, you clearly want her to have a future and a safe one at that, Ryan is now doing well and being ridden and schooled 5 days a week and he was quite bad before op. If she is responding well to injections that is a good sign as it didn't work for my ned. Just trust your gut and take your time. I hope I haven't seemed pushy with my response but it is such a difficult thing to do the right thing by your horse especially when there is an issue to be dealt with like this one, but I am sure you will make the right decision and I wouldn't let someone haggling over a couple of hundred quid bounce you into getting desperate and selling - stick to your guns and if you think this chap will look after her i hope she goes to a cracking home and if not bide your time as the right owner is out there somewhere.
