...and my requirements are:

- 'normal' girth for a GP saddle (ie. not stud guard or dressage girth)
- must be black leather
- must have sheepskin lining (either detachable or permanent)
- must have brass buckles, not stainless steel

Anyone have any ideas?

Why not get an ordinary leather girth and have a sheepskin girth sleeve over?

Yeah but you can get real sheepskin, not that synthetic rubbish

In any case, I now agree with Ester

Maybe you should start a new 12 step program, Sheepskin Anonymous

The sad thing is, there is another livery at the yard who has as much of a fetish as I do for sheepskin

So I am no longer alone

I have brass on all my other leatherwork, and I really really really want the girth to match

My current sheepskin and leather girth (JHL), which is nearly worn out now, has stainless steel, and it really annoys me

Dubsie - the saddler idea is a possibility! I just figured there must be one somewhere

I dont think you will find a girth with brass buckles- they would bend and break/snap- stainless steel is alot stronger.

Fair enough brass on your bridle etc- but think of the enormus amount of pressure on the girth buckles when you are girthing up etc- brass wouldn't last 10 minutes!!
