I put a similar thread up the other day in veterinary but had no reply. So, I thought Id try again!

Anyway, on Wednesday, I noticed my mare had 3 tiny white wart looking lumps under her tail on her anus (She's only 2), they wouldn't come off so now im worried about what they are. She's a chestnut so im hoping its not melanoma, since its common in greys. Im not sure if it could be any fungal infection etc so I wanted some advice!! I do have a picture as my explanation isn't the greatest, I'll put it up if anyone's able to help!!!

Yep, pics please. I would be utterly amazed if they were melanomas at her age... also melanomas are bumps under the skin, they don't look 'warty' at all. Maybe they're the sort of 'young horse warts' that they get around their muzzles that then spontaneously disappear... never seen them round the anus but I haven't been looking either!

Im not sure how to get an image up actually. Yeah she did have sort of milk warts on her nose a month or so back that have gone now, I never knew they could get them around their bum. I'll try get this image up somehow!
