Hey guys,

I need an new horse. I'm experienced enough (have ridden BE PN) but havent owned something worth riding for a few years. I've been riding for other people. Just after about a 5 yr old - relatively cheap (under 2k ish) that is nice enough to play with whilst i'm at uni (i have pleanty of time, ace facilities and will be a 5* home!) I'm not expecting to find a wonder horse, but something that i can teach and enjoy. I have noticed a few of Irish Horse Imports in Reading look to fit the bill. Just wondering if anyone has any experience of them before I make a little trek there!

Thanks in advance.

Can find some real rough diamonds there. Just expect to buy raw and with no frills or schooling in there.

I've bought loads and been very pleased with them. Always get them vetted though, although you do get a warranty and can return them if they fail the vet and exchange. I would say get your own vet to vet them when they are on trial.

As above. Go with your eyes open and make sure you buy with your head, but have known some lovely horses come from there

I bought from them a few years ago...and the mare was awesome!! Like above posts say they are raw but if your looking for a bit of a project thats probably better anyway! I would def recommend them

Agree.

I know several people who've bought nice horses from there. I looked myself but just didn't find the right one.

She hunts with us and so know many people who have purchased from her sucessfully. Remember they are all young and need bringing on so fab for a winter project that just needs education, not sogood for a schoolmaster.
