I promise I won't do this every night...

As I know you must be bored already

However, we had a HUGE breakthrough tonight

Went for our second training session in our new posh training field

and Otto was super duper

Normally once you lose Otto's attention you may as well give up for 10 mins and start again, however tonight as he legged it to investigate something far more interesting than me, I sprinted off in the opposite direction, whistling and whooping like a mad woman

Now I tried this before and it had as much affect as if I'd fallen asleep, but tonight up came his head and he belted after me

and not just after me to run past me and disappear again, but straight back to me

We practied the stop whistle again, and now his bottom is hitting the deck instantly we just have issues once it gets more than 4 steps away from me or if he hasn't been fully paying attention he panics that he's gone wrong and comes back, which is quite amazing in itself

I can also have him at heel (off lead) and suddenly run backwards without saying anything and he just turns and comes with me

All this is made even better by the fact that, a) it was bunny dinner time, b) there are LOTS of tasty smells out there, and c) there were LOTS of birds flying overhead!!

I am absolutely shattered now though, as our field just happens to be up a rather steep hill and sprinting up it 4/5 times has killed me

And for SU and Sweep, it's not very good as you can't really see him, but... Otto swimming in the lake

He even picked a stick up and swam with it!!

Nowt wrong with being a proud mummy!! Never get bored of Otto, he is such a good boy. Makes mine look as if they need ASBOs!!

When we first got him, I'd have never believed someone if they'd told me he would be off the lead in a field full of bunnies walking perfectly at heel after 9 months!!! I'm so proud of the little munchkin

It's quite likely as the grass is fairly long and there are a few dips, Otto took a nose dive in one yesterday
