But I think I'm going to end up with a rescue

If the ILPH take him away from his current owners, we've offered to home him. If they don't, we might just end up buying him. I won't say anything yet, nothing's certain, but I will tell you that he's a beautiful appaloosa with gorgeous paces (I'm sure he was schooled and adored once upon a time) and I'm in love.

I'll tell you the whole, very, very long story tomorrow. I'm too emotional/tired/stressed out to type the whole thing right now.

Buut! My sister and mum have bought a horse! (nearly)

He's 15.2hh, 11 years old, grey, and a dressage school master. If he proves to be all he seems, they're asking half of what he's worth. (used at a farm college to teach disabled children to ride, but got into a county show or something for dressage, and makes the most nervous novice look like a pro) Being vetted next week

Appalossas are just wonderful, IMHO. They move so beautifully and are so loyal and loving when they decide that you belong to them, that's certainly how it works with the mares. They are also very bright and like to entertain themselves and you. I hope you get him and have a wonderful time with him

My Appy is certainly her own 'horse'!! she is beautiful, very strong and always willing, she gives it 110% every time

I love her to bits, I hope it all goes well for you

my appy was on her way to slaughter she is so pretty and loving it would have been such a waste of a wonderful spotty monster lol hope all goes well!!! i always end up with the resue ponies lol i have one on loan from a woman who stopped him going slaughter but left him in a field for 6 years so i have my work cut out with him she brought him for just£65 and hes papered and everything

If the horse is a REAL Appaloosa, as opposed to just a spotted horse LOL!!, then you will be very pleased with him. Appaloosa's are such huge characters and are very very loving. Their aim in life is to please and they really seem to be one-owner horses.....they LOVE their owners.

Good luck.
