... but I've not got that much to report on.
a week last tuesday we met in Crathorne (pronounced cray-thorn) for the childrens meet. It was a good day with plenty of jumping and Ron and I jumped our first hedge together (ok, so it was only 3 foot, but hey, its still a hedge)
a week last saturday we met at our secretary's house and had a good moor day, including a few little rails etc. quite a nice day and some of my favourite country.
last tuesday I didn't hunt as my dearest donkey came out of the stable on tuesday with a fat leg.
saturday my sister was up from plymouth for the weekend and she really wanted to go, so although her horse wasn't terribly fit and Ron had had a few easy days we went out for an hour and a bit before calling it a day to join my parents at their house for the biggest lunch you've ever seen.... 30 people in an only slightly larger than average kitchen for about 6 hours!
so, you see, you've really not missed much! tomorrow is my parent's meet (delayed from sat due to ground conditions), and then saturday is the champagne breakfast, gallop and final meet.
Then.... it's all change. There's a few things afoot up here, which I'm sure the press will get hold of sooner or later. I'm not going to go into it in any detail, but next season will be the second stage of something that started at the end of last season, with the progress and the "next steps" (third stage) to be reviewed at the end of next season. It's surrounded by endless gossip and speculation at the moment, and there's a lot of work to be done, but it's all quite exciting!
