Please find me a horse. I can't stand it any longer. I have been horseless too long. Having broken ponies sat in a field is starting to get frustrating. The last time I took my horse to a show was a year ago.

There are a few problems.... I have no money so an absolute max of £2k. Also needs to be at least 15.2. I just want something that I can do local shows on for the summer as fingers crossed my cripple might make it out of a field one day. So not sure I would be offering the horse a home for life. Also no vices as I want to be able to sell it. I know that I am being slightly unrealistic on the money, but I don't want a worldbeater - just something that could be fun.

I've decided that I really like Welsh Section Ds - so not adverse to cobs.

Any one got any ideas?

I dont know any horses for you but I do know how dispiriting it is to watch everyone else go out hacking whilst you continue mucking out your horse on seemingly permanent box rest.......
Mine has just come back into work after best part of 3 years out of action (variety of reasons including my pregnancy) he will only be a light hack now. I cant currently afford to keep another horse. So, nothing useful to add but I do know how you feel. Good luck

You should be proud of yourself for making it this far. Mine has only been on box rest for two weeks and I am already champing at the bit (excuse the pun) to get out.

Loaning sounds a good idea

Also another not offering a horse but some sympathy, mine has been injured since February last year and I am SICK of it!

Good luck finding something DD. I don't think it will be impossible, but it may take a long time.

Thank you, I rode my sisters horse today Spot, and I think it made me realise how much I'm missing it. Also if I did get another horse I won't be tempted to get back on Dolly too soon.

At least she isn't on box rest anymore, that was only about 2 months, she was cured of that injury, I had started riding again, booked my lorry in for it's MOT and had planned on going to a show, and she went lame 2 days before it. 11 months of lame, operations, box rest, walking and trotting rehab, for her to go and do something stupid in the field.
