I rode for the first time in ageson saturday........

We have got a pony for the xmas break from Hartpury college as its a bit of a hike home for it (about 150 miles IIRC), and I've not been able to ride for a few months

, Anyway I rode Jessie (Alex on Ebony), and she was such a handful when we hacked through a field, I must have turned her in a dozen circles before she backed off and listened to me.

I can see why people become reluctant to hack their jumping horses, cos they just want to go as soon as their feet touch grass

I must be getting old

I was amazed she stood for the pic as she is usually heading for the nearest clump of grass as soon as you let go of her
