Oh my days. I've been missing riding, more than words can say.

Lovely lady down my yard offered me her pony to ride, who I actually originally used to ride sometimes back when I was about 13....so 10 years ago nearly!!!!

Lovely little mare :) Blissed me out completely. I thought I'd forgotten how to ride. ;)

CS, you have inspired me into going bareback again ( I broke the lad bb), and after a few (serious) trot wobbles, I'm not so sure I want to put a saddle back on - we are both loving it :D

She's lovely! How's Baby Coblet doing? :)

She's a lovely little mare bless her...she rides so much bigger than 14.3hh!

BC is fine thankyou, happy in the field and has two new little welsh 'friends' for company I've got into break for a few weeks. He still gets grief by an 12hh Welshy. I despair. He needs a companion rabbit...even then I bet he'd get bitten by it or something!!! Bless him. ;)

YAY ;) Add that to another 'converted' to my inadverted list haha.

I have to admit. Riding in a saddle, today, was wierd. Even watching the video back, has got me thinking 'bareback next time'. I just don't like tack. :o

Once i established my gravity again, there was no problem - as long as I hold a tuft of mane as a security blanket, and his reins in the other hand, we are really hoofing it now. I love the way that Shy is looking after me too - he feels the wobble and goes back to walk ! They think I'm nuts at the yard - we are now bitless, barefoot and bareback.. but it is soooooo much fun !

So glad to see you back, and glad to hear that BC is doing well :)

Yuuup...give it a few weeks and the mane tuft will no longer be required :D Bless him! Glad you're having fun, it's what horses should be about.

I never went anywhere ;) BC is always well. He's an easy to please and undemanding little chap bless him :)

pm me anytime - I don't know what's gone on, none of my business, but I do like a chat about coblets x

Haha Christ that would be a loooong PM to list all of my dramas this year so far lol. Honestly, could have made a soap series from it. Had everything included I reckon! ;)

But all hopefully is past now, I'm looking and moving forwards, slowly but surely.

Will chat about coblets anytime also! With risk of advertising....BC's breeder has some VERY lovely ones just gone up for *will not say word*, for very reasonable *will not say word*. I'm sitting on my hands to refrain myself. Black, with 4 whites. GAH. The temptation.
:)

Ach, you have a cracker anyways - there's always next year ?

I'm building up for Appleby already - how bloomin sad is that, eh. Safest yard ever, and yet I'm wobbly as the scouts are out already.

Aw thankyou Billie! That's extremely kind. I've gone from not riding...to just horses out my ears now. I'm very grateful. I kind of lost all interest in riding after losing B, other than doing a few youngsters, as that didn't really class as 'riding' to me as it's just pottering about walking.

I'm finally in a place now I think, where I do want to get back riding again and have some fun. I may defo take you up on that one day! HHO meet up :)

Eeeep I can relate on the theft worry front also Shy! I'm always cutting down alley ways on walks back to the yard in an attempt to not be 'seen' where he's kept. He's kept way out of sight on the actual farm, so never too worried when he's in.

Lovely post to read when you have been through such tough times, was wondering how you and Coblet were!

I can see Coblets mane rivals one of mine who is only just coming 2 and has a mane past his shoulder, not sure what I am going to do about it!

We're all good :) thank you!

Keep it! Oil it and grow it :p coblets is only half grown out ATM....he needs mooooooore hair haha!
