I spent a large portion of this evening chasing a rogue greyhound across the countryside. He thought it was a lovely game
and couldnt understand why after making me run after him for over 10 minutes I was gasping for air and could hardly stand
Luckily we were away from the main road by this time and he decided to stop giving me a heart attack and bounce on me instead
After coaxing him back to the car by scruffing the poor thing I managed to get Yellow Dogs lead round him and bundle him into the car - he decided he didnt like my car and turned into soap
Eventually managed find an extra limb to get him in the car and close the lid on him before driving round the villages. Stopped at every pub
and the only shop still open but nothing so took him to do the horses before they starved to death.
Drove round again stopping lots of random people - who knew walking at night in the middle of nowhere was so popular
but no one knew who he was. Just as I was about to give up and take him to the shelter I spotted a 4x4 with a telltale reg no (had VET in it) so knocked on their door. The poor man was in his dressing gown
but was very nice about it and recognised the dog straight away. I abandoned the dog with him as he was calling the owner to arrange collection
Driving with a greyhound in my lap was easier than I expected
