My uncle decided yesterday he does not want his dog any more and in reality he isnt very nice to him anyway sooooo i got volunteered to take him on.
My parents would prefer me to have him and keep him but im not sure this is an option i like.....my OH has so far said he doesnt want to keep him and im not sure i can 'provide' for him long term especially as i know he needs to be mentally stimulated (alot!)
Hes a lovely dog 5yrs old been with kids and other dogs with no problems.
I think at some point he has been worked properly (maybe not but just a feeling i get)
So far hes got on with my other guys ok (lab dog - entire, collie bitch and jrt dog - cast.) He and the lab had a bit of a scuffle last night but tbh i expected that....

So i guess i should think about finding someone to have him if he cant stay here

My only experience of spaniels is my grandma's horribly spoilt little cocker which climbs on your lap while you're at the dinner table and tries to steal food from your plate (which is obviously entirely my grandma's fault - he'd be a lovely little dog if she wasn't so indulgent of him!) and my best friend's springers - the first of which was absolutely gorgeous and very affectionate, while the second one was totally neurotic - terrified of most people, didn't behave like a normal dog (even a very expensive animal behaviourist couldn't work her out) and with a tendency to bite, so they had to get rid of her because they had young kids and she couldn't be trusted. I'd still take him off your hands if I could though - I can never resist a puppy dog!
