Axey shares a lovely big field with 2 other horses, and normally it works out ok with turning them all out etc but now the other 2 have both got the dreaded mud fever and can't go out for a while and as I can't turn Axey out on his own he's got to stay in aswell

There's not really any other horses that he can go out with, or anywhere else for him to go.
I know its nothing really but I hate him standing in all day, especially if I have to go to work and cant ride.

hmmm annoying, i know how your feeling as when the other horses had abscesses mine had to come in overnight too as he couldnt stay out on his own.

Is there no other horses he can see from the field?

does he not like being turned out on his own?

Frustrating i can imagine.
Ash isn't happy out alone, luckily i've never been stuck for a mate for him to go out with.

No, no other horses even near his field

I suppose I could try him on his own but I really wouldn't be happy leaving him as his field is quite a long way a way from the rest of the yard and nobody could actually see him from the stables.

Funnily enough a sheep had escaped into his field the other day, he was terrified of it lol!

I suppose I could always ask if someone wants to put their horse out with him, or there might be another field nearer the stables.
All the other fields are divided up into individual paddocks so I could ask if he could go in one of them on his own

not ideal but better than nothing!
