I'm house sitting for my brother this week, and he has a wii fit board, so I decided to have a go. I'm now quite worried, I failed every game miserably and got a result of unbalanced every time. It also did a test where you stand on your best leg and it tells you where your centre of gravity is, mine was far to the right.
One game, was skiing, you had to lean to each side to steer between flags, and I kept skooting off to the right, because I kept putting all my weight in my right foot.
So as I said in title, this is horsey, this worries me as it must be affecting my riding and therefore Roos balance :worried:
It would explain the hip, knee and back problems I have been seeing my osteopath about

I wou;d not put to much truth on the wii, although I would LOOOOOOOVE one

If you are so worried, have you had a proffessional lesson? or maybe take up yoga

While you've got the wii fit - have a play at getting your balance in the middle - yoga deep breathing exercise is basically standing still and keeping your weight central. I got wii fit for my birthday about a month ago, and I've finally worked out how to stand central - but I don't do it all the time - can't do the stillness test at all though - everything it said kind of agreed with what the chiropracter I saw said about me though.

I tried one of these wii things the other day at my sisters house.I was absolutely useless, my nieces beat me every time, until I discovered the COW JUMPING game.I made them pay!!When they asked howcome I was so good at this game,I tried to play it cool, but my sister spoiled it by explaining that to me ,the cowjumping game was just like a point to point!

and if like games and a bit of a laugh you can try and get the G1 Jockey 2008 to use with the WII balance boards its difficult but worth it - works a bit like wii fit yoga and balance games - you are a amatuer jockey and you 'race' against others the balance board and teh remote and numchuk all come into play to control the horse and it tones hte core muscles whilst having fun.....
