Things are getting pretty tight recently and what with other stuff going on my life, i'm finding there just isnt enough hours in the day to get/fit everyone/thing in.

so unfortunalty something has to give!

so was thinking i might get a sharer to help me out with my mare, maybe a few days a week inc a weekend day if they wanted. So how do i go about it? tack shop advert?

she cant compete so basically a happy hacker, she will pop a jump in the school for fun. We have lovelly facicilties where we are huge school and xc course and no road work if you dont want to..

So do you think anyone would be interested and if they were what would you charge? or should it be free :s Would anyone want to share her???

advice would be nice

Thanks

me too, my current sharer has just given me six weeks notice, her OH is griping about the money for shoes/feed etc.....

At least she has given me good notice but i'm really worried that i'll not find anyone as good as her or anyone who can cope with my tricky mare. So with two horses to pay for in the not too distant future I'm tightening my belt and hoping that non of my mates are expecting lavish chrissy presents!

Hi I helped a lady with her horse for a few years before I got my own. Our arrangement was that I paid half of the shoeing but that was all finacially (I couldn't afford more than that), on days that I rode I did all the looking after so the owner had days off and I also did the tack cleaning, poo picking etc. I also looked after the horse while the owner was on holiday. This arrangement worked really well for us, she had plenty of free help, a bit of help money wise and I could ride and got plenty of experience in day to day care.

Wendy thats basically what I want, its not that i cant afford her its more of a time thing, there just doesnt seem to be anytime for me to ride atm which isnt really fair to my horse, So at least if i get a sharer she will be getting some exercise etc..

Anyone know someone that might be interested ???

Either word of mouth or perhaps try putting up an ad at you best local riding school, but specifying adults only and exactly the level of commitment you're looking for. If someone replies you could poss watch a lesson they're in as well to see if you like the way they ride. Some people may be ready for a bit more but don't want to take the big step of having their own.

Rather than advertising at a local riding school ask the owner/instructors whether they know of anyone. You might avoid some of the numpties that way.

You could try the pony club too as they have members up to 21 I think and a student would probably have loads of time but not much money.

I'd do it but you are a bit far for me unfortunately.

TBH here is probably a good place to find someone too!!
