he's 14 and has always had bad legs. he's had a stroke and has arthritis too.

i just got home from work and my mum has said that they have to take him to the vet tonight.

when he was at the field this morning, he collapsed and couldnt get up. my step-dad carried him home.

I cant help but think the worst. i need a hug.

I am so sorry. Please let us know how he turns out. Sounds like he has lead a long life with a loving family, what a lucky boy to have that. You are in my thoughts ~Jade~

This is a horrible time but by the sounds of it the dog is ready to go. Don't be too sad and think of the good times and the great life he had.

I'm so sorry you are having to go through this. But if you choose to let him go now with peace and dignity then it is a much braver thing to do then let him suffer in pain until nature takes its course. Sending you all my sympathy as I know from personal experience how hard it is to lose a beloved dog.

Poor you, it does sound like he has had enough. He's probably tired now and will appreciate a dignified end. I know it's a horrible decision for you, but sounds like the best for him. Dear old boy... Big hugs for you xxxxx
