After a wonderful morning jumping round Offchurch over all the HT fences I'd realllllllly like to get out doing more xc. (Couple of pics in my sig, left, middle & right ones, didn't get any proper jumping ones as K's owner was on foot and had a puppy to keep control of)
Once I'd got over my nerves, really enjoyed it and K definitely did too. Jumped a rather large log and both water complexes.
K pony had been refusing a couple of fences and think it was because I'd let her canter into them too much and not kept my leg on, so trotting towards some ascending rails turned her to them with about 4 strides of canter which she popped beautifully
Then walked back past them, and realised they were rather large, much larger than I has anticipated to jump anyway! 
Have never liked steps or downward jumps, but got over my nerves about them, and did steps up, down, and a couple of down hill jumps, plus a down hill canter, steps and into water.
Despite my arms being dead from a very fresh, strong horse, I bloomin' well loved it!!
I think Solihull have an unaff ODE coming up soon, so thinking of entering that.
How contagious is the eventing bug!? I don't know if my bank balance could cope.
