Between the three little darlings they are going to give me a heart attack. preferably before I become penniless!
Oscar the year old lab puppy is going to have a double femeral head excision operation due to hip dysplacia.
Two weeks ago jasper my beloved 10 yr old best friend had to go in for 3 days due to severe gastroenteritis. Puking and pooing blood, worryingly dehydrated, now we are hoping that he dosent have permenant liver damage as he started to go into multi organ failure. He is fine and dandy now... (1K later!)
Lucy the 9yr old lab hasnt been right for a couple of months. Today and yesterday she has been on the point of hyperventilating with extreme panting that goes on for some time for no apparent reason. (comes in to the lounge from sleeping on her bed doing this.) she has been behaving wierdly in herself. Today she insisted on going out in the garden in the rain, and sat on the lawn looking at the sky, heavily panting. usually when it rains you cant make her go outside for a wee for blood nor money. She will hold her bladder for 12 hours if it is raining, refusing point blank to go outside. You have to put her waterproof fluffy coat on her, and she will go a foot out the door and pee on the patio. Then demand to come back in and be dried. Today she didnt bother asking to be dried, just came back in soaking wet and anxious. She drinks a tonne of water and today refused her food. she isnt fat, but has never refused food.
I have taken her to the vet a few weeks ago, (about a seperate issue. Abcess between her toes that wont go.) but they say there isnt alot they can do. She is also very anxious and needy. The entire afternoon she has been trying to get on my lap for a cuddle, and has been obsessed with me- sleeping by the bed and coming to the toilet with me.
My worrry is epilepsy?? I know its a bit random, as I havent seen her fit.. but it kind of explains the personality change and anxiousness???
