I have SOOO had it! I'm absolutely fed up and close to tears (OK, so I've been a bit emotional lately, but still!) I'm fed up with the incompetence and lack of organisation at the yard; how people don't worm or vaccinate their horses. I'm sick of ignorant people who won't shoe their horses more than twice a year or so. I'm fed up with half the school disappearing down the mountain every time it rains and the jumps being all wibbly wobbly and having to be set up just so. I'm fed up with the petty behaviour of some of the other owners, especially directed at ME and the IDIOT who KNOWS his horse kicks like mad and just lets her loose around PF (she's the one I chucked a stone at!
). I'm fed up with having to buy extra shavings because the yard never get enough and then guard them like a hawk so no one else will pinch them. I'm fed up with them getting shitty alfalfa and it running out and the same goes for the oats (and me having to buy extra) AND I'm fed up with having to get up at 4 in the morning to feed PF and A before shows so I can hack them 2 km to the gate in time for the transport. AND I'm fed up of being supplier of grooming kit , tack and first aid for every other bl**dy horse on the yard and not getting so much as a 'thanks'
On the other hand I feel sh:tty for doing this to PF because she's really happy there and relaxed. I caught her mid afternoon flat out on her side in her stable having a siesta and snoring like a rhino last week! bless.
New yard is really, really professional. Stables are big, in a well ventilated barn, tack is cleaned DAILY *faints* the school is MASSIVE with professional showjumps, the horses all look as if they've been Mr Sheened and they'll feed PF for me before shows so I can just turn up and supervise. I can probably (have to sort this out) set up her own turnout with electric tape as they don't do turnout (horses there are FAR too valuable, daahhhlink) and it's directly on the way to current yard so I can still go and ride Antifaz and teach my girls with minimum disruption. Course it IS twice as expensive
I feel AWFUL for putting my sanity before PF, although realistically I'm sure she'll be fine. Am I being horribly selfish??
Be gentle or I might cry again!
