After my posts the other day about my new pony being a toad to catch and lead, i think she might finally have accepted that I'm not a horrible person who's going to turn her into horse sausages.
I went to catch her this morning, and she stood still while i clipped her rope on, and then she had one little go at planting. Fortunately, I had brought Mr Schooling Whip into the field with me, so gave her a little flick round the bum, and she walked on without batting an eyelid. No planting, no messing around, just nice calm walking ! I lunged her for a bit, then turned her back out and poo-picked the field. She followed me around while i was poo-picking, peering into the barrow and trying to figure out what on earth i was doing
It was very sweet.
i think she is starting to trust me at last.
