ok so before you guys go crazy at me i had order this on trial before she went nicely in the 3 ring gag so today as i have it ill give it ago :)
ebs had her head in the air didt go very far tbh went over a jump for tomorow but just left it after 15-20mins she wasnt happy in it and it was on the snaffle ring so never mind it was worth trying :)
also i was told to get a breaking bit and school her in it?
 
If you've found that she liked a previous bit, I'd go back to it. When it comes down to it, other people can suggest every bit under the sun, but you have to go by what your mare likes. :)
 
least you no she wasn't happy.
breaking bits have a tendency to encourage horses to be busy in the mouth, you just wanna get a nice french link snaffle or something similar and take her back to basics. NO jumping.

Our mare has gone back to a NS Wilky snaffle with a market harbourer as we cant hold her without is:P because she was getting a bit hot headed and strong when jumping and she's is going beautifully by her standards now.

i know your problems are with jumping but you need to establish your ground work and techniques for keeping her under control before you consider jumping, try and find someone who will give you just flatwork lessons. your trying to run before you can walk, its not gunna happen if you dont have the flatwork there and established.
