I went hunting yesterday for the first time in 18 years.....
I decided to man up and take my mare hunting yesterday, she is only 6 and very green, my husband took her the sat before for the first time and the Monday, I then took her the following sat, so in effect the. Poor thing went 3 times in one week, although the first 2 times he did hardly anything .

We had great fun and were at the back doing gates, so basically playing catch up, after an hour and half she was so I tired and sweaty she was struggling to keep up, so we decided to hack home ( we hacked 2 miles to the. Meet and 4 miles home...... ) was great for my first time ,think she needs a clip, something other than grass and serious cardio work!! Lol. She Will only hunt once every 2 weeks, but what would you recommend energy wise for a chilled out 6 yr old welsh x coloured cob, she's ridden every dayTrotted and and cantered lots on very hilly devonshire hills ..

awesome!!

tbh, if she's coped ok with 3 days like that then I probably wouldn't change her diet unless she starts to drop weight. and at that point start with sugar beet and see how she goes!

she's lovely, and looks very chilled out with it all!

Such fun:D I went out on say for the first time on a young ID and had a ball too. But god is your countryside completely and utterly different to our terrain!
Hope you go again.
