we have automatic waterers in our stables but my yearling is to small to reach so has a bucket but he discovered last night the water is just at bum scratching height so this morning i go to the yard 5am to muck out, turn out etc and my lovely yearling has decided a water feature was required!!! so had a lovely water sodden bed.

This meant i had to text the yard owner to find out where the stop cock was to turn them off, she really appreciated this at the lovely time of day, then i had to find buckets for all the others so they could all drink. (waterer in his stable will be coming out)

Im definatley having a hate horses day, does any one else suffer from this infliction, (i love them really)

Ha ha sorry to laugh but my older horse done this and the whole goddam yard was flooded, and the stop cock was in the YO house so had to wake the family up to go turn the water off.
Other thing was it was an american barn and yes he was the top one and it had soaked all the beds.
Did not use the automatic's again

Mouse did one even better than this!

When he was a yearling, he discovered the orange ball cock in the water trough (the lid had been removed).

Most NORMAL horses would be fearful of it, especially when touched as it makes a hissing noise, but NO...!

Mouse decided to push down on it, and keep pushing down on it, even when the field was flooding around him! The field was flooded 2 or 3 inches deep to about 20 x 40 metres.

YO was NOT amused . . .!
