No you're all right!!

He's an ISH - and a very Irish one at that!

Thanks for all the nice comments too!

I agree that he's lovely, stunning , in fact, but is the ISH really a breed? In other words, those that said ID x TB could well be right too!

Quote from the Irish Draught Horse Society(NA).....

The Irish Sport Horse is recognized by the Irish Horse Board, as an animal of ANY breeding, which MAY OR MAY NOT have Irish Draught blood in its pedigree.

For example, an ArabxTB, TBxConnemara, Pure TB or RIDxTB may all be classified as an Irish Sport Horse.

But what's Irish about an Anglo arab for instance? I was sure the ISH was essentially a TBxID cross... shows what I know, eh?

Yea I said they were right! Or thats what I meant anyway! He's some kind of mix of ID and TB, I don't think there's anything else in there.

I get a bit confused looking at his papers! His dad is full ID x full TB.. can't remember about his mum... Will have to have a look!

My friend has got an ISH - I'm sure it is heffalump x connemara x bog pony x ID The only sporty thing about it is when it is dragging her in from the field at racehorse speed!

I do get a bit confused about this ISH thing!

not wanting to sound snobby, but I think my horse must be a different kind of ISH to the ones with no breeding records and stuff! He's by Clover Brigade out of a Cruising mare - so maybe more of a "traditional" ISH, before everyone jumped on the bandwagon and called there's one so they could flog it over here!

It's all a big con - It's like the Pt to Pting over there - don't they all have a turn at winning in Ireland?

Can't really blame them if us English suckers fall for it!
