First he was lame and now I am! I just want to ride him! I can't even get up to see him :( Thankfully YO is there and doesn't mind doing him for a few days.
It's all Ned's fault actually, he stepped on my foot! He looked horrified that he'd hurt me and stepped right off when he realised.
See, I could handle it if I could never ever ride him again, but knowing that I can makes me want to jump in the saddle right now!!!

In other news, for the first time ever, Ned has a proper mane :D
Since he first came, it's been scruffy and the bottom half never seemed to grow right, but now it's actually looking quite good :D yay! Still need to work on a forelock though :P

Pointless post, just rambling because I'm bored!

I wish I got bruises to show off. I got my toes landed on by marmalade76's pone the other day (accidental, but as farrier had hold of his other foreleg he couldn't step off me, bless him!) and nada, not even a red mark to show for it! That's a good'un, Nah.

You're very lucky to have a YO that will do the horse for you and not charge you, or is he on part/full livery anyway?

As for the mane, it looks good! I wish tinks would hurry up and grow, it looks awful!
 
Thanks guys! I went into work for 3hrs this morning, I don't think I should have gone! They were so grateful and helpful that it made it worth it :) Although I hate my job, my managers and the staff are so so lovely!
Got a Dr's appointment tomorrow, so hopefully I can get a note for a few days off!

Ouch! He's stepped on me a few times, but it's never been so painful or impressive!

He's on part livery and she knows I'll make it up when I'm better :) I usually help her out by doing other jobs when I can, so she doesn't mind doing Ned when I can't get up :)
 
Very jealous of Ned's mane! Foxy has about 5 strands of hair between her forelock and mane :mad:

Ouch on your foot!!! I'm feeling very sorry for myself as I'm going to be having foot surgery June-ish time, then 8 weeks of no riding to recover.
That means all work and no play over winter, and then summer there will be no playing as I'll be in bandages!!!

Aww I feel your frustration, I've not ridden for a week as I broke my right hand last week jumping and dont go back to the Fracture Clinic until 22nd Jan! So wanna get back in the saddle! :mad: :(
 
That looks like my foot did when H jumped on my- was trying to pull/ comb his mane and he jumped back landing with his full hoof on my foot, i swore loudly which scared him, making him then stamp down on the already painful foot.

It was also back when we used a scanner at work which was located at the opposite side of the office to where i sat so walking to that was fun!

Found Arnica spray from Boots really helped.

Think he looks better with a longer mane though!
 
Elsiecat - Oh no! I hope you're ok :( that must be awful!

Madam Min - I couldn't cope without my right hand! That sounds wrong, but it's because I'm an artist hehe :P I hope you heal soon!

me&Harvey - I think Arnica has saved it from looking worse than that! Mother insisted on rubbing that awful stuff into my foot, but it's helped!
A friend at the yard got jumped on too! The horse decided it didn't like whatever she was doing and it leapt (like the lipizzaner horses) right onto her foot! How she didn't break it, I'll never know!
I love his mane now :D I now have something to hold onto when he does naughty things XD
