Sorry... just... meh.
As some of you will know my 14.1hh welshy x nf has been off work for 7 months now.
The farrier is coming today, and im not expecting him to say I can ride her (she will never jump again, even if i was given permission to, not worth the risk), but i'd love to hear the word "improvement". As it seems we're just doing the same old routine day in, day out... the only change now is the fact she is allowed out for a few hours a day, which I must say is fabulous. But it does only spur me on more to want to ride her.
Don't get me wrong, I know it's selfish, but ive owned her for 4 years (on the 20th) and after calculating it... she has been out of work for a total of 2 years, with laminitis, arthritis, abcess, infection, and most recently, problems with her pedal bone + horn growth in near fore.
I think it must be something i'm doing wrong, she doesen;t deserve all this box rest and cr*p. But the vets havent said its me, nor has the farrier. We have 2 ancient pones, and neither have had a lame day since weve had them.
I suppose I could be bringing this upon myself... we do buy all the desperate cases who everyone else brushes by. (Because they're aged, scarred or having hereditary problems, or are quite simply, abused.)
Sorry, I'm just a bit fed up of it... all I want to do is pop on her back and go for a 20 minute hack round the village.

I should just be pleased she's still here and she still has a very very good chance of coming through fine, and dont get me wrong, again, I am ecstatic about that. I think it's just exams that are getting me down and id love a Boosie pick me up.

Oh, also, can I have some good vibes for our little Orange man Joey, when we got him he was suffering with laminitis, UFP, severe Sweet itch and was covered in bites/abcesses... today the farrier + vet ar ehopefully going to tell us that his UFP has improved enough (thanks to lots of hill work and building up) so that he will defo not need the Op to help him.
