I was going to have a rant.......Now starting a campaign...

Anyone know how? It is a serious matter. How do i do it? I know what i want to do and what to change/add to. Who do i head it at. It will hopefully become part of what judges pass as a sentence.

Trying to keep it under wraps until i start it as my ideas tend to get taken over and don't go as i would wish them to. It is to do with sentenceing. It makes me sick - 5 year bans for neglect. It is a welfare issue and to go with the ban and after. A positive thing

Ahh - I guessed it would be a welfare concern (good for you). Hope someone on here will be able to advise you, although I would guess that a lot of people are watching the JG case to see the outcome.

Ask your local MP if he will table it as an Early Day Motion. Start a petition on the Downing Street website. Get other horse welfare groups in on the act and beg or bribe everyone you know to publicise the campaign as much as you can.

Maybe start with a petition? And get the backing of as many of the welfare charities as possible. Also, maybe try to get some big names in the horse industry to back the campaign. I think you would need to try and get as much publicity as possible too ie newspapers. (The Daily Express is running a campaign to improve the treatment of donkeys in Greece at the moment, just as an example)

If JG was convicted it would be a positive thing in that case also - very positive. Something that is not done now but would be a way forward.
