Went cubbing today until 1pm. Had a great time, rode mums mare because she's quiet as..and if I fell off of her I'd give up riding

my ankle didn't ache at all and is fine now, still not great to walk in without the boot though, yet I rode fine.

On foot Sat and physio next Wed so I miss that meet

and then OH is back from Malta on the Sat so I'll be jocked off

hehe.

Anyone else been out today?

Oh now that was very risky was it not lady? Dont know whether I'd dare to but good on you! I went out but had to be in school for 10.30 so that cut my day in half.

Yes it was a bit, but my leg is brill, if it had hurt I wouldn't have done it.

There's only so much hunting on foot you can do before it gets to you

Ahh, well atleast you got out, did you have a good morning?

We went this morning, it was lovely, first day the temperature has dropped to make a proper morning!
Dix was so good - 6th time now, so shes an old pro!
I went on foot last year - broken horses, not broken me, and it drove me mad!

It was, wasn't it, really gorgeous, the perfect cubbing morning, the mist was coming up from the river and it was sunny but chilly if you get me!

It felt GREAT to be out again!

I'm glad she's settled, I think I'll leave it a little while longer before I attempt to take the pointer

Ooo yes, just a fab temperature, waistcoat morning, and just cold enough for a swig. I had an ace morning, plenty of wall country and a lovely hedge, looked HORRIBLE but jumped like a dream.

I took my hip flask today! Finally got around to getting the fag lit and the top off the flask and they all went off at a gallop. Eek - bit of a 'Heigh Ho Silver' Moment'!! (But didn't drop either!)

I really really wish I had the guts to go hunting. I had a fall 5 years ago jumping and haven't had the nerve since! I'm going to help out marmite when she goes though.

Glad you all had fun! It does seem like a blast

Well you don't have to jump, there are always people that go around, our hunt hardly jump anyway. You should find something seasoned and quiet that knows its job and have a bash! If you were closer I'd lend you the old mare, though she's been whipping in and now she's most disgruntled about being back in the field!

I might just do that actually. What a fantastic idea! I think I may go to a few meets with Marmite and then network and see if anything is available.

The thought of a chilly, yet sunny morning like today and out with the horses and hounds just sounds like bliss!

Two of mine will be out Saturday (providing we can hitch a lift) which should be fun...
Jeddy might be a total plank and go up and off. He will be the one with a hundred red ribbons in lol.
Hoping it might refresh the horses to do something other than hacking, so hopefully, each of them plus the ponies will get a morning out somewhere different.
If I can find a person to come with and sit in the car with me, I shall foot it. (L plates still!)

Go for it!

SM - my hip flask is sloe gin as made by Mr Gordons at the mo, as it was payment for some chickens!!
Home brew sloe gin and blackberry vodka are on the go.
Last year I drank Irish Mist, nice but as I was following in the car a bit strong!

What about you?

Mmm, I like the sound of Blackberry vodka!

Well mine will have one of the following, homemade Sloe Gin, Damson Vodka, Blackberry Brandy or Raspberry Vodka....I now sound like I should attend AA but the above have stood in a bottle for over a year, we make some each year and its pretty pokey stuff!

Good on you Rosiie, do you realise because of the sugar it ends up something like 60%!! You'll all be falling off drunk!

With those tipples I can't understand how anyone can carry Port anymore?!
