I went on a little road trip today.....

How lovely, I really hope it all works out.

I think my only problem will be stopping my friend from stealing him! She has a lovely home on a farm with horses and a couple of cavaliers and she has already asked if she can come and see him this weekend 😱

I just popped out to the shop and almost forgot to put George into the crate! Then as it was I couldn’t get Millie to come out of the crate (it’s her favourite space) so she got shut in and George was in the kitchen with Millie as ‘secure’ company 😄 He didn’t make a sound bless him

I hope Ponyparty is pleased and relieved, and her dog (whos name temporarily escapes me) is a happy boy again.
I remember when we got rid of Smut the spaniel I felt awful, even thouigh she was driving me insane, I felt such a failure not keeping her and making the best of it. She is so happy in her new life, and her new owner adores her, but I still feel vaguely aggrieved about the whole thing.

How, why, when, who, what have I missed? Who is the George? Is this Ponyparty George or another George? Do tell. He has such a lovely face 🐾😍😍

This is (was) PP’s George, who is currently fast asleep on the sofa next to me although luckily not snoring! George has decided that hounds who couldn’t give a stuff & wander off when he snaps/barks at them are apparently the way ahead 🙄 I picked him up this morning to give him a trial and you would think he’d been here all his life, he is so cocky, confident and relaxed! PP has said that Frank is also happier which is fab news, so fingers crossed all continues like this.

Dogs are contrary little horrors!!!!

Oh my goodness Lev, you're incorrigible! Although you absolutely needed a terrier to add to your pack (because everyone does), so I thoroughly approve. So glad he's fitted right in at Lev towers ❤❤

Dee's best mate when she was younger was a giant ex racing greyhound - they made for an odd site wondering about the yard together, as you can imagine!

Aww that’s really lovely news. Well done you for taking him on a trial. I know you’ll give him every chance to find his place in your home and keeping everything crossed that he settles well.

That's lovely, sounds as though George is happy, Frank is, quite frankly, delighted and the hounds entirely indifferent!! The dynamics of 2 happy households. I hope Ponyparty is not beating herself up about it not working out at hers, sometimes personalities clash and there's not a single thing you can do about it, despite your very best and admirable efforts. (Been there, done that, bought the t shirt!). Good luck with him Lev. 5 is such a nice "even" number for your band of buddies. 🐾😍

Well that was an interesting first night - I lost George!!! Woke up at about 2.30am and all was quiet.... went to the loo.... popped my head in to check the boys were both asleep on their usual sofas. Yep, spark out! But hang on, no George....

Go to the kitchen, there is Millie in her crate, but no George.

Into the bedroom, there is Amy asleep on my bed.... but no George.

OMG how have I managed to lose the small one on the first night 😱 Have I shut him in the garden by mistake? Oh no, he has a very loud terrier voice, that wouldn’t happen 😄 Is he asleep under my bed? No....

Eventually picked up the dog duvet under the breakfast bar to find he had crawled in between the folds of it and made himself a cosy little nest 😂 He was happy to see me, I was delighted to see him - they all went out for a quick wee since I was up, then he went back into his duvet cave and straight back to sleep 😂😂

Our old JRT, Mr Terrier, used to sleep in a terrier tunnel with just the tip of his nose poking out, in really cold weather, despite house being toasty warm, he'd even tuck in his nose. Terriers add something to your quality of life in my opinion, even though I'm blessed with amazing Labradors, I can't help notice the absence of a JRT! 🐾🤔

I'm glad he seems to be settling in well. I once 'lost' a guinea pig! She'd manage to scale the foot high barrier around the cage in the lounge and was happily asleep under the throw that was next to the sofa. Only noticed when sitting on the floor very confused and spotted the small round lump! I thought I was going mad!!

My Jack Russell ADORES Greyhounds - She saw one off the lead in the park and stood for about 5 mins just watching it run.

I think she was in awe of the super long legs, since then she just likes to watch them! Can't beat a terrier either :D

Of course, an intermediate dog: a long legged terrier would complete your pack Levrier...:D:D

Hmmm, perhaps similar to the one I am meeting on Monday? 😉 It is an experiment to see how the greyhound boys react, although now I’ve seen them with George I’m really not concerned and I know they will be fine 😊😊😊

Well done both of you, PP and Levrier. I agree, a house is not really a home without a terrier, My old boy died earlier this year (nearly 15) and though it is easy with just 2 (neither are terriers), there is something missing.
Anyway, good luck to George, he deserves it.
