I went to the theatre and saw War Horse last night. Has anyone else seen it? I was blown away with those horses. They are incredible. The attention to detail is stunning. The puppeteers were fantastic, and you actually started to believe the horses were almost real, as they mimicked every thing that horses do brilliantly, even subtle little things, like an ear twitch when a fly landed on them.

What a lovely tribute to all those Millions of horses who went to war and died during WWI. I didn't actually realise they were still using horses to that extent as recently as WWI. My goodness it doesn't bear thinking about the conditions that those horses must have been through, especially as by WWI they were up against tanks, bombs, gas, and machine guns. I was crying at the end. I wont spoil the ending by saying what happens, but it’s not all sad, and is definitely worth going to see!

Any horse lover should go and see this - it will totally blow you away! Even my OH and son thought it was good. The puppeteers must have spent so long studying horses movements as they are so realistic. It's so worth the effort of going up to London to see.

I will definitely go and see this. I have read a book by Jilly Cooper called Animals of War and that I found very upsetting, but it's something everyone should know, i.e the treatment and part that animals played in the war.
