The vet comes out tomorrow afternoon. I have just spent a lovely 3/4 hour sat scratching Poppy's backside, studying her tummy. I think I could detect movements! But she loves having her backside scratched anyway! To cap it all her teats are covered in white spots which according to a website means she could foal soon, but her udder is no different in size to the other day..

I am trying to convince myself she is not in foal, and it shouldn't be until July anyway.

I am off to have a drink to settle my nerves

I will report back!

The white bits on her teats are called wax as in waxing up, could tomorow or next month, it's only when you can see milk dribbling from her teats you have 24 hours, but there again some mares go weeks before or you can get a mare thats shows nothing and next morning you see a pair of ears sticking over the door. Bought the mare in Feb, told she wasn't due till June, started gaining weight, I thought because I was feeding her well, got to the stables one morning middle of March and an exrtra although tiny pair of ears at stable door.:):):)

can't help thinking tht if shes waxing up she might well be. Would be one impressive phantom pregnancy otherwise. Let us know :)
