...decided that today would be the right day to retire my tb. His new job title is 'Head lawn mower'

He is 19 years old and in his early days he used to be a race horse. He was my first ever horse and we have been through a lot! He has taught me a lot! I've never had the opportunity to jump him because he has an old tendon injury. This horse would drive other owners mad, but I have a lot of patience, and sometimes I just have to take a step back and smile at him. He has a lot of character and he just makes me laugh! Very pointless post but I thought I'd share my thoughts and pictures with you.

This is a pic of when I first got him:

Any particular reason why you've decided to retire him or do you just feel it's the right time?

Well I suppose it's a mixture of things really, I have my youngster to educate and I'm so busy with her I don't have time to ride him and each week and month he gets left without being ridden the more he doesnt feel safe to ride. I have thought about putting him on loan to someone but he really is scary to ride, I feel that I can't risk anyone getting hurt where as I know how to handle him lol He thinks he is still a race horse!

He has a lot of other mental problems aswell, but that's another story lol

A big pat on the back for you, what a transformation he is looking fantastic now, you should be very proud of your self for giving this old boy a secure future and a well deserved retirement, and I hope you have fun with your youngster and achive all you wish for, well done.
