I'm definitely in the 'i never win anything' camp but bought a horse related product just after Christmas and left a short, but mainly positive review for it. I had an email this week, stating that they do a monthly draw of all the reviews received and I had won. I got to pick 3 products and they arrived yesterday, i'm delighted! I always wondered if anyone ever wins from the feedback requests you get

Anyone else had anything similar? I did win something from Your Horse magazine but that was over 20yrs ago.

I won a fleece top for writing the star letter in a horse magazine years ago. Ironically SWCBN it was titled “honesty is the best policy” when selling horses to ensure a good outcome for all.

I won a portrait of my horse, although I can't remember how now. I also won tickets to Hickstead from Ruggles once.

My Mum won a return air ticket Bahrain - London having popped into her local Manama supermarket to buy my Dad his Sunday breakfast kippers . Bless her she persuaded the organisers to make it London - Bahrain and I had a wonderful holiday riding Danah al Khalifa's Arabs. Made all the bones in those kippers very worth it

I've just remembered when I was a child and I won two tickets for the Ferry to France. We'd never been abroad before, so obviously had to get passports and there was 5 of us, so my parents scraped together for the other 3 so we could go. All I remember about that trip was the appalling unisex toilets

I once won 3 Nuumed sheepskin numnahs, I was thrilled - think it was a YourHorse comp.
Unfortunately I was young enough to not fully appreciate them as they were grey, white and black and not bright colours so I sold them after a short while of use - I'd give my left hand for them back now!

I'm quite lucky.
From memory, a tub of power stance and t shirt, a mark Todd cooler and travel boots, the cost of my shop in Waitrose, a weird broom thing you attach a hose to, 2 small holed haynets, a saddlecloth and matching ears and a weekend in Geneva. I also regularly get small things in utilities like Octopus, Priority and Nectar.

The saddlecloth and veil was annoying as it was only clear after I'd won that it was a pony edition and there was no full size. Need to sell that.

Eta also tickets to see the Spanish riding school at Wembley.

Wow well done. I was second in a Pony mag competition. The first was a holiday. Mine was a hand knitted Irish wool jumper but did go to London to the Martini Terrace to get it. 1970s I think. Won a lunch at Hickstead with Frankie Sloothak and won a horseware comp to present their trophy at HOYS. Also won to take part in the finale at Olympia with John Parker on the Norwich Union coach and four. All very good fun Used to enter a lot when it was sending in by post from the paper.

I’ve won a few things over the years - the highlights being a Mini Metro (remember those?) from Heinz and a holiday in Japan from The Telegraph. I think the most recent win was a £300 last.minute.com voucher from O2 Priority

I was sitting beside someone who won a signed photo of Judi Dench in a raffle once.
When I was about 6yrs old I won a fake giant 1 pound note for winning a bubblegum blowing the biggest bubble competition (so big it pops all over your face and in your hair you’re picking bits off all day long!)

It was indeed, I could pick anything from the horse/dog area, so went for that, a frog treatment and leg oil (anti mud stuff). It all smells lovely.

Love my premium bonds as it’s the anticipation of a possible win that makes them fun. Don’t usually win! My dad did win a car once!

Years ago I won a lesson for me and a friend with David Deptford on one of his western schoolmasters. We had a great day driving down to Cambridgeshire (I think it was) and had a good 45 mins each with him in the arena. I think I just filled in my contact details on a stand at Your Horse Live to win it.

I won a riding safari to Macatoo in Botswana in a competition I entered at Badminton in 2024. I went last April and it was one of the best trips I’ve ever been on. I joked right up until the morning of that no one would be there to collect me at the airport but it was all real. Don’t think I’ll ever win anything as amazing again.
