Thanks everyone - it reminded me of the sort of scene you might expect to find the morning after a student flat party. I could hear him snoring from my front door. When I got to the field, he opened his eyes, lifted his head slightly, took one look at me and then let me know in no uncertain terms, that it was far too early and could I come back later.
