Anyone with metal stabling,

do you use stall guards? I am struggling to find them long enough for the stables I have (IAE standard design) and also was wondering how you fitted yours?

Currently I am using a piece of climbing rope with clips on either end looped around the bars but I wondered if there was a better way?

hope you can help!

We have Lodden stables but the principle is the same. J has one of these thick chains with solid plastic over the top, that is wide enough to be fitted to the wood either side of the door frame. B had one of the deep filled ones that needed 3 plates either side to attach to. It would not go wide enough to reach to the wood so we pilot drilled holes in the frames and fitted the plates with self tapping screws, it worked fine and was as very solidly fixed.
